CEO Interview Process
The CEO Search process for the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay
Council was aided by Evergreen Source, a GSUSA supported search
firm. More than 70 individuals contacted Evergreen to expressed
interest in this position; this is a reflection of the respect and
esteem this council has earned, thanks to Judy the staff, the
Board, but most importantly and influentially you, the volunteers!
Nearly 30 candidates were interviewed by Evergreen. A final group
of 7 candidates were forwarded to the Search Committee for
consideration. After an intensive interview process, 3 candidates
emerged as excellent and were invited to interview with Judy
Taggart and Lynn Williams. After careful deliberation and much
discussion, the Search Committee fully supported the presentation
of Anne T. Hogan as a finalist candidate. Anne met with each
available staff member. The entire staff fully supported Anne’s
presentation to the Board.
The Board met on March 27, 2008 and after serious discussion and
deliberation, the Board unanimously selected Anne T. Hogan as the
next CEO of the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council.
Anne will officially begin her new role on Monday, April 28, 2008.
She and Judy will transition through the month of May and Judy’s
final day is expected to be May 30, 2008.
This process was intense and time consuming. Much thanks must go
to the members of the Search Committee, they are: Judith O’Neil,
Ron Alessi, Lynne Shand, Mary Culley, Gloria Jeffers and Calvin
Christopher. Their dedication and expertise was invaluable in
selecting the best candidate and their energy and commitment to
finding the VERY best leader for the girls was remarkable.
