Girl Scouts at Space Camp
Girl Scouts at a 2 week Aviation and Space Camp
Senior Girl Scouts Megan Lewis-Taylor and Kristen Beblo were recently accepted into a Destination along with 149 other Girl Scouts from around the US in Huntsville, Alabama to attend a two-week aviation and space camp. While there, Megan and Kristen learned about the history of spaceflight, worked in simulators, had bombing missions, built and launched model rockets, helped design and construct a space station and participated in a simulated space shuttle mission. Megan hopes one day to have a career in the space or aviation field. She is currently a 10th grader at high school in the Aviation program. Megan is pictured holding the flag on the left, Kristen holds the flag on the right.
