Judith A. Taggart, Council Chief Executive Officer


Judy Taggart has over 20 years of management experience in the non-profit sector. In January 1999, she began her position as chief executive officer. From 1978-1993, she worked in most capacities at the council including assistant executive director.

Judy has held executive director positions of the YMCA of Anne Arundel County, MD and the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware. As executive director, she was responsible for expanding services and increasing revenue for both organizations.

Judy is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri and holds a Masters in Human Resources Management, Wilmington College.

Judy is very active in her community and is a member of Association of Fundraising Executives, YWCA of New Castle County, Historical Society of Delaware, Hagley Museum Associate, and the Delaware Nature Society. She volunteers with the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.

Judy is a life-long Girl Scout and believes in the Girl Scout Movement.
