Support Girl Scouts
and Girl Scout Leaders Today
You can designate your gift to any of
the following Girl Scouts
of the Chesapeake Bay
giving campaigns. Your gift can send a girl to camp, or pay tribute to a
leader’s service to girls. If you own a business in Maryland your
contribution may qualify for State of Maryland Tax Credits, as well as
the state and federal charitable deductions.
We are very grateful for your support and will acknowledge your
contributions promptly.
Annual Giving
Gifts to
Annual Giving provide training for leaders, program materials, camp
maintenance and repairs and scholarships to girls for membership and
program fees so that Every Girl, Everywhere has the opportunity to
Grow Strong with Girl Scouting. Support at every level does make a
difference in girls’ lives, but by becoming a Friendship Knot
Society Giver you can help even more girls Grow Strong.

-
Juliette Low Society $1,000 a year for 5 years

Camperships
Did you ever sleep outside on a hot summer night and looking up
realize that you really can’t count all those stars? Remember that?
That first time that you really saw all those stars and it made you
feel part of something big, so vast that you couldn’t define it. But
lying there, listening to the crickets, watching the stars, you
thought and thought about how it might be defined until you fell
asleep.
Camping is one of the most effective ways Girl Scouting has of
helping girls feel that they are part of something big – and helping
them develop the skills they need to participate in our great, wide
world.
Camperships provide this memorable and life-changing experience for
girls who may not otherwise be able to attend day or overnight camp.
Support at any level will help to give girls this valuable
opportunity, but consider the impact of the following levels:
- A week of Resident Camp for 4 girls $1,000
-
A week of Troop Camping for 8 girls $500
-
A week of Resident Camp for 1 girl $250
-
A week of Day Camp for 2 girls $100
Family Partnership
Family Partnership is an organized
council-wide request for financial contributions to help underwrite
the cost of providing the full Girl Scout program to every girl
everywhere on the Delmarva Peninsula.
This year’s Family Partnership contributions will be designated to
the Capital Campaign to improve
our four outdoor program centers that serve girls from across the
Delmarva Peninsula.

Tributes and Memorials
Recognizing active or past volunteers through tributes or
memorializing the dedication of those who have passed away can be
done by making a gift in the name of that person. A gift to Girl
Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay Council in memory of a loved one or
friend or in honor of a special event such as birthday, wedding or
Bronze, Silver or Gold Award is a lasting way to honor the people
who have touched your life.
The council sends acknowledgements to
both the donor and the individual or surviving relative for whom the
tribute or memorial was made. The letter to honored persons or
relatives mentions the occasion and the donor, but not the amount of
the gift.
Each Bay Window will list tributes and memorials received
since the previous issue. The Honor Your Leader tribute will be
featured in every Bay Window and will now be called Honor Your
Volunteer.
